In this mindfulness exercise, we learn to come back and take root in the present. This practice is simple, involving the breath, and can be helpful whenever we feel pulled into the pas or a future that has yet to be.
When we are drawn into emotional upheaval or experience painful thoughts and memories, it can feel as though we lose our ground, our connection with the present and all that it affords. The practice of grounding uses the breath to bring us back to right where we are, in this moment, connected with the earth and NOW. The practice can be done just about anywhere.
