Living a values-guided life isn't easy because as we step in directions of something that matters to us, we often risk experiencing obstacles, problems, and pain.  Some of these barriers are external to us, but many bubble forth from within us in the form of thoughts, judgments, and fears.  This meditation teaches us an important lesson and skill.  For in it we learn that we can do what matters even when difficult thoughts and feelings attempt to keep us stuck, and far from the life we wish to lead.
