Thoughts and feelings come and go if we allow them to do that.  This guided mindfulness practice teaches skills to observe and allow thoughts and feelings to come, noticing them as they do, and without trying to struggle with them or give them more importance than they deserve.  This practice teaches skills that will be helpful to you if you tend to get hooked on difficult thoughts, emotions, feelings, and physical sensations.
